Mike Herum comes to CJ Hester Inc with 14 years of multi-line adjusting experience which includes extensive training and experience with many types of major property and casualty losses. Mike previously worked for Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance (IFBI) as a field adjuster, promoting to a Bodily Injury Specialist then a Unit Claim Coordinator. At IFBI, Mike handled the simple to complex claims, ranging from personal lines property & liability losses, fire losses, dog bites, fatalities, farm property, large equipment losses, crop losses and worker injuries, to commercial liability claims, including pollution losses. For the past three years Mike has worked with Zurich North America on their Catastrophe Team in Schaumburg, IL handing, small business, builder’s risk, surety & financial and global energy/marine claims.

Mike has a BS in Construction Engineering Technology from Purdue University and has an extensive insurance educational background. Mike is currently licensed as an independent adjuster in 12 states. Mike is active in his church and community and his family.
